How to View a Solar Eclipse With a Coke Zero Sugar 12-Pack

Coca Cola Journey Staff

If you haven’t yet tried the new Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, here’s your chance – while (safely) catching a glimpse of tomorrow’s total solar eclipse in North America.

Coca-Cola today posted a social media video with step-by-step instructions on how to make a DIY solar eclipse viewer using only an empty cardboard 12-pack of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, scissors, tape, aluminum foil and a safety pin.

Watch the steps here:

All you need for making the viewer

Cut box to 3/4 it's length

On one side of the box cut a circle and a square opening

Tape tin foil over square

Poke a small hole in center of tin foil

Aim tin foil at the sun and enjoy the Eclipse(Only in America!)

Sprite is getting in on the action, too, with an (extremely) limited-edition #EclipseMix on the Coca-Cola Freestyle fountain dispenser. #EclipseMix – a tasty mashup of Sprite Vanilla, Sprite Raspberry and Sprite Grape – will be available for download on the Coca-Cola Freestyle mobile app only between noon and 3:59 p.m. ET as the eclipse travels across the U.S.
